In rural communities, response times from emergency medical services are naturally slightly longer.  We aim to provide some medical support in the community.

With a huge thanks to the Parish Council and our Community Defibrillator Volunteers, people in the villages of Ogbourne St Andrew, Maizey and Rockley now have access to this life saving capability in the event of a sudden cardiac arrest (SCA).

In addition, we have trained 10 volunteers in how to perform chest compressions and use the defibrillator.  The defibrillator has been added to the Wiltshire system and the Ambulance service can direct people towards our defibrillator if required.
